Mary Liz

Major: Studio Director / Print

Minor: All things illustration and animals.  Seeking to get back into the saddle before too much longer.

How long have you been at Kidd Group? Since 1987 (longer than some of my coworker’s lives!)

Favorite place you have traveled: Mexico City in my senior year of high school …played a clarinet solo for the President there with the Leon Band!  Also, my many trips to San Francisco and surrounding area when my family lived there from 1977 to 1990.  Lastly, I’ll mention that my family drove to Canada and back in the summer of 1966 in a station wagon from Tallahassee that was epic.

Alter ego or avatar? Scout Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird or “Quick Draw McGraw” from Hanna Barberra fame.

What is your biggest fear? Economic instability, as I have many who depend upon me.

What is your favorite thing about working at Kidd Group? The work! Creative problem solving is a rush I love making something from nothing.

What would be impossible for you to give up?  The creative process

If you could meet one person alive or dead, who would it be? Either Arthur Rackham or Beatrix Potter would be wonderful to shadow.

Favorite quote: “Turn loose.  It’ll fall by itself.”  A favorite saying of my late Father in law, Gene Moody.
