Kidd Group supports the most successful Women Against Multiple Sclerosis (WAMS) Luncheon to date

The Tallahassee members of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society North Florida chapter hosted its 12th Annual Women Against Multiple Sclerosis Luncheon on Thursday, September 23, 2010. The luncheon serves to build awareness of MS as well as raise funds for those affected by the disease. All funds from the luncheon directly benefit people living with MS in North Florida and contribute to the ongoing national medical research which is striving to create a world free of MS.

The 2010 WAMS luncheon raised more than $27,000, the most in its history. It was also the most attended luncheon to date with more than 300 participants.

“It was a privilege to work with such an amazing group of women in planning and promoting the WAMS luncheon,” said Ivette Marques, APR, Public Relations Director at Kidd Group. “We are excited to have played a part in helping to raise thousands of dollars and increasing awareness about MS in our community.”

Kidd Group handled the design and TV production, promotion and public relations for the event. Tallahassee was “painted orange” with more than 25 doctors’ offices displaying the luncheon poster in their lobby to show support, including citywide event promotion through the Patient’s First digital marquis. Additionally, WAMS media sponsor, WCTV, aired a :15 second PSA for a month prior to the event and also donated a web banner on its website. Kidd Group also helped coordinate a raffle, featuring baskets with items and gift certificates donated by area businesses, raising $650.

With such a successful event complete, preparations are now underway for the 2011 WAMS luncheon.
