Social Media isn’t a mystery anymore! It is visible that social media is a big part of individuals and businesses today. Whether it is personal or company related, there are many social media platforms out there for virtually every use. While some of the communication and social media platforms cost a fee, many still remain free of charge. A brief list is below of some of the social media apps that appeared in Adweek that were most interesting!
Tinder – Online Dating App
This app connects with people who are in the same area as you. It doesn’t have to be the same exact location but within a certain mile radius. It is linked to your Facebook and pulls pictures from your profile, at random, to your tinder app profile. You are then presented with pictures of other people in your area. You swipe left or right depending on if you would like to match with them or not.
If you do match, you then are able to access the messaging field and start messaging.
Kik – Chat
This app is basically the same thing as Iphone messaging. However if your service isn’t offered where you are located, KIK just has to be connected to Wi-Fi for it to work. This is perfect for any traveler! Just make sure you download the app before you depart and let your friends know to download it too, so you can message back and forth. Many people who travel abroad take advantage of this app!
This app is quick second video or picture you can send to contacts in your phone. Your contacts also have to have the app to receive your pictures or videos. You can set a time limit on how long you want your picture to be shown, starting as quick as one second. You can also add effects to the picture by drawing on it with the digital marker.
