CHALLENGE

America for Gold’s goal was to support the majority of athletes who lacked financial support and struggled to meet the monetary demands required to train and compete at high levels. This wasn’t a corporation with multiple locations or a million dollar budget; they were starting from square one and needed a brand and online interface that would help them - helps other athletes.

SOLUTION

Kidd Group created a simple logo design that represents the pinnacle of achievement, the gold medal. This graphic design was also incorporated into business papers and a new website where users could learn about the athletes, make a donation, or follow the news blog. Public Relations executives communicated the athletes’ stories on behalf of America for Gold, generating press and awareness nationwide.

RESULTS

In their debut, America for Gold officially supported one athlete and now are able to support five, two of which are Olympians and one medalist. They also have two official spokespeople, who are also successful Olympians. America for Gold averaged 5 donations a month in the first 6 months and have now reached a monthly average of 14 donations, with 4 turning into recurring monthly donations. That’s a win for everyone.
